Tailored to Your Venue

Before looking at designs or strategies, I want to understand what makes your venue truly special: its story, its people, and its purpose. This starts with listening — to your goals, your challenges, and the way your space is really used — so that what I build is grounded in reality, not a generic template. I don't believe in standard formulas; everything I develop is tailored specifically to your venue's character, your aspirations, and the resources available.

My approach draws on three key elements, applied according to the needs of each venue:

  • Atmosphere – creating welcoming, comfortable and memorable environments through thoughtful use of decoration, lighting, furnishings and visual identity.

  • Flow – making the best use of available space so that it works naturally and effectively for visitors and staff.

  • Connection – bringing the venue to life through events, activities, and community ideas that give people a reason to visit, return, and become regulars.

Every space is unique, and the balance between the three areas shifts from project to project.

How It Works

The project begins with a conversation — a chance for us to meet, and for me to see the space. You'll then receive a scale-appropriate quote for Phase 1, and if you'd like to proceed, we begin.
Phase 1 – Discovery & Direction

The design process structured around two meetings:

  • A visit to talk through your objectives, challenges, and budget, and to understand the venue, observing how the space is currently experienced by visitors and staff alike.

  • A meeting to present the tailored design, developed from everything gathered during the visit, along with a quotation for Phase 2.

Phase 2 – Bringing it to Life

Once a direction is agreed, the transformation begins and I project manage the process throughout. Depending on your project, this might include:

  • Sourcing and purchasing

  • Bespoke fabrication

  • Decoration and installation

  • Reconfiguring the space

  • Coordination of trades

  • Styling

  • Launching events, activities, and community initiatives

Transformations tailored to your venue, your ambitions and your budget.
