I have always been fascinated by how places shape our experiences, influence our moods, and bring people together. The cafés people return to week after week, the pubs where friendships are formed, the shops people recommend to visitors, and the cultural spaces that become cornerstones of their communities.
My approach to this work is shaped by a career rooted in theatre, lighting, and set design. For years, I designed and co-directed independent cultural venues, transforming empty rooms into living stages. Whether creating a studio-theatre from scratch, designing immersive environments, or restoring an historic stone house, my focus has always been the same: understanding how a physical environment influences the way people feel, interact, and connect.
I started this practice to bring those creative principles to independent venues. Their owners usually have a powerful vision and a deep commitment to what they do, but often lack the time or resources to develop their physical spaces the way they would like.
I believe that high-impact transformations don't require massive budgets—they require resourceful thinking. By looking at your space through a designer's lens, I focus on finding solutions that are beautiful, practical, and deeply appropriate to the unique character of your business. The result should be a venue that you are proud of, that visitors remember, and that your community truly values.
My aim is simple: to help independent venues become the very best versions of themselves—places that are welcoming, memorable, and continue to play a meaningful role within local life.
